1. What does God say about giving offerings?

MAT 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." DEU 16:17 "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee."

EXO 23:17 "Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD."

EXO 34:23 "Thrice in the year shall all your menchildren appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel."

6. Why do some of the Churches of God say we are to take up an offering 7 times a year?

Good News Magazine dated Sept. 1983, page 17, explains this has been a tradition of the Church for many years. They say that the word times in Deu. 16:16 means three seasons. But, does it?

Strong's #7969 for three, means numbers, as in one, two, three.

Strong's #6471 for times, means one following another.

8. What is the true meaning of these words?

The true meaning is: consecutive: One following another! Not seasons!!

9. What does God say about changing His Words?

DEU 12:32 "What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from."

DEU 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."

REV 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book."
